PLC Wednesdays

This school year, we implemented an early-release Wednesday schedule to support our commitment to instructional excellence and student academic achievement. We appreciate the community’s adaptability and support, as this change has given teachers
time to participate in weekly Professional Learning Communities (PLCs). PLCs are crucial to staff collaboration on effective instructional practices and data-driven decision-making. Additionally, it has established a consistent schedule for students, parents, and staff.

After receiving feedback from teachers, school administrators, and district leaders, the Governing Board voted on April 10, 2025, to update the early-release Wednesday schedule for the 2025-2026 school year. The weekly early-release time will be extended from 2 hours to 2.5 hours. These thirty minutes will provide additional time for weekly PLCs, enhancing professional outcomes and supporting our academic commitments.

Please note that students will still receive lunch and participate in elective classes on early-release Wednesdays.

Updated Early-Release Schedule for 2025-2026

Kids Club hours will be adjusted to the new dismissal times to provide children with a
safe and structured environment following their early release.
