How to Apply
All applicants applying for a certified, classified, administrative, guest teacher, or student teaching position with Laveen Elementary School District must apply online in order to be considered for employment.
When applying, applicants must upload the following documents:
Administrative and Certified
- Resume
- Copies of transcripts
- Three letters of professional recommendation including letters from teaching supervisors. If you do not have teaching experience, letters of reference are acceptable.
- Copy of your Arizona Teaching/Administration Certificate
- Copy of your Out-of-State Teaching/Administration Certificate
- Copy of your Arizona Education Proficiency Assessment Or National Evaluation Series test results
- Copy of your Arizona fingerprint clearance card
- Copy of documentation showing successful completion of 15 hours in Structured English Immersion (SEI) or an ESL, SEI, or bilingual full endorsement
Classified Applicants
- Resume
- Copies of transcripts (If applicable)
- Copy of any certification(s) / license(s) applicable to the position
- Three letters of professional recommendation
- If you are selected for employment, as a condition of employment, you are required to be fingerprinted in accordance with Arizona Revised Statute §15-512 and will be required to pay a $22.00 fee for such fingerprinting expenses.
Guest Teacher Applicants
- Resume
- Copies of transcripts
- Three letters of professional recommendation including letters from teaching supervisors. If you do not have teaching experience, letters of reference are acceptable.
- Copy of your Arizona Substitute Certificate
- Copy of your Arizona fingerprint clearance card

Recommendation for Hire
Applicants recommended for a position within the district may be required to provide the following documentation during their scheduled appointment with the Human Resources department. These are needed prior to starting the position:
- Proof of eligibility to work in the United States
- Proof of Measles, Mumps, & Rubella (MMR) Immunization/Immunity
- Certification (if applicable)
- Fingerprint Clearance Card (if applicable)
- Education Experience: Proof of High School Diploma/GED/Equivalent, College Transcript(s)
- Other documents, e.g. TB test, etc. as required by the position
