On May 15th, the Laveen School District Governing Board officially approved a school name change. Moving forward, Cheatham Elementary School will be known as Laveen Leadership Academy at Cheatham Farms.
This name change reflects our commitment to providing an exceptional signature program focused on leadership development. As part of this transition, we will be adopting the Leader in Me program, a proven, research-based framework that empowers students with the leadership and life skills they need to thrive academically and personally.
We want to extend our sincere thanks to our students, parents, and staff for their valuable input and feedback throughout this process. We look forward to working together as we begin this new chapter and embrace our mission of building future leaders in Laveen.
